Hi, I’m Travis, the creator of Total Fermentation. With a professional background in chemical engineering, I’ve spent my career obsessing over processes, yields, and scaling complex reactions. A few years ago, I started applying that same technical mindset to the jars bubbling on my kitchen counter.

What started as a quest to brew the perfect batch of kombucha quickly expanded into a larger obsession with the science of fermentation. Whether I’m experimenting with hot sauces using peppers grown in my garden or dialing in carbonation levels, my goal is always the same: take the guesswork out of the process.
